DSL, demonstrating their continued commitment toward design excellence, have recently increased investment in tools for their bespoke custom design service. The latest version of CadenceŽ AllegroŽ PCB Router (V15.2) has been implemented for auto-routing of all PCBs.
In addition to this they have invested in all available options:
Advanced rules provide the capability to constrain the design to a very high level, such as having different sets of rules per layer; different rules per net or class; restricting nets to particular layers. This also allows support for blind or buried vias.
The Design for Manufacture option allows auto-routed PCBs to optimize routes to make the PCB as easy as possible to manufacture, and therefore produce the most cost effective solution.
The High Performance options mean that DSL can design for the fast switching performance of both today's and tomorrow’s technology. With signal rise times quicker than 1ns starting to become more and more common, all designs are beginning to require high speed considerations. Trace minimum length, trace maximum length, matched length, trace parallelism, differential pairs, crosstalk etc. are beginning to become common.
DSL now have the capability to route designs with any constraint in the most expedient fashion and believes that a continual investment in personnel and tools helps provide the best service to all custom design customers.
30 day custom design service
Designs based on in-house building blocks can now have prototypes delivered 30 days from design specification approval. Thus designs based on proven technology, such as AMD Geode GX1 or GX processors, ETX motherboards etc. can be designed, tested and released to market in a very short time.
